The Lexus IS350 Base for 2009

There have been several award-winning cars from Lexus over the years, including the Lexus IS350 of 2009. There are one trim levels to the IS350, including Base. The Base version is one of the more popular options, outselling other configurations. Like in 2008 the popular 3.5 liter has made this a popular choice for sedan buyers nationwide.

The restyled IS350 Base is equipped with a 3.5-liter six-cylinder engine that utilizes 24 valves. The engine is mated to a Toyota six-speed transmission. This has resulted in an increase in horsepower and torque over the 2008 version.

The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. Steering is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The IS350 uses power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. Load balancing is provided by coil front springs and coil in the rear.

The original manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) was $37,500 when new, with a dealer invoice cost of $33,188. This price was in line with the industry average price for a 4-door Sedan.
