The Lexus SC430 Base for 2005

There have been several award-winning cars from Lexus over the years, including the Lexus SC430 of 2005. There are one trim levels to the SC430, including Base. The Base version is one of the more popular options, outselling other configurations. Like in 2004 the popular 4.3 liter has made this a popular choice for convertible buyers nationwide.
Stop and Go
The restyled SC430 Base is equipped with a 4.3-liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 32 valves. The engine is mated to a Toyota five-speed transmission. This has resulted in an increase in horsepower and torque over the 2004 version.
The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. Steering is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The SC430 uses power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. Load balancing is provided by coil front springs and coil in the rear.

The SC430 is 177.80 inches long, 72.00 inches wide, and 53.10 inches high. It has a wheelbase of 103.10 inches. It is able to seat 4 comfortably.
The original manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) was $63,575 when new, with a dealer invoice cost of $55,308. This price was in line with the industry average price for a 2-door Convertible.

The fuel system for the 2005 SC430 is a SFI system, running on gasoline . The fuel is regulated by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design.

I’m liking Hyundai over Lexus. It think it’s the difference in reliability. My first SC430 worked quite well, but the second one (a Base BTW) didn’t fare so well…
