There have been several award-winning cars from Lexus over the years, including the Lexus SC430 of 2008. There are one trim levels to the SC430, including Base. The Base version is one of the more popular options, outselling other configurations. Like in 2007 the popular 4.3 liter has made this a popular choice for convertible buyers nationwide.
The SC430 Base is equipped with a Toyota 4.3 liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 32 valves. The engine is mated to a Toyota 6-speed Transmission. This is a long-standing favorite for buyers in the Convertible arena.
The restyled RX400h Base is equipped with a 3.3-liter six-cylinder engine that utilizes 24 valves. The engine is mated to a N/A four-speed transaxle. This has resulted in an increase in horsepower and torque over the 2007 version.
The 2008 RX400h is an important vehicle to Lexus for the sport utility market segment. The Base is a member of a series of one trim levels for the RX400h which include Base. The four-door truck with its all-wheel drive is positioned to aggressively fill this niche for Lexus. There is strong competition from vehicles from Acura.
